Valedictorian Speech

To begin my speech, I would like to thank a few people. First, although they aren’t here, I would like to thank my Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade teachers for helping me realize my potential in academics. Next, I will thank my parents because I have to. But really, for setting their expectations high for me and pushing me to reach them. I would also like to thank Quinn for being an amazing minecraft-playing, fisherman, awesomely unique & loyal friend he is. I would also like to thank Nick, for being a very good friend and confidant. I would also like to thank Clay V. for giving me a warm welcome here in second grade. I am going to give my final thank you to Kylefor being himself and teaching me how to get out of odd moments or conversations.

There is one thing I am 99% certain I won’t forget about elementary school. That is our inedible lunches. The meat seems like it is made out of rubber and the milk is more likely dirt water with artificial flavoring. I have seen green spots on the ham served here before, and I think the taco meat is made of a body part most of us don’t even know animals have. I remember a time when someone bounced their omelette like a rubber ball and hearing how chicken nuggets can bounce four feet in the air.

I am looking forward to multiple things in the Junior High. As you can guess, I am looking forward to the edible food. Another thing I am anticipating is the worry about an organized desk is off my hands. This will leave me free of wondering if I have everything when I switch because it will all be in one place when I need it. I am also looking forward to my own locker. That will mean no need to save space for someone else who needs to use the locker and all the space will belong to me. That is generally what I am looking forward to next year.

What I’ll miss are the easy tests that you only need to learn the stuff once then you are done with it. I am also going to miss recess because
