1. What would you like to ask Cris Tovani about her use of the book Frankenstein?
Don't you think giving them an excerpt from the middle of the book is spoiling the book? I understand it makes it exciting and it makes them want to read it but at the same time if we took a book other than Frankenstein, would it spoil the book for the reader? I know I have a hard time reading a book that I know what is going to happen. To me all the excitement is taken away.
2. What are some ways you might motivate students in your classroom to read?
