I believe In Imagination
In the dead of night I prepared for one of the most daring missions of my career, a mission to save mankind. It was almost time, the doors opened and I jumped, it was windy the noise of the wind howled in my ears, the adrenaline rushed as I hurdled down towards the ground at more than 100mph, zooming near razor sharp cliffs. I then noticed a waterfall and I realized I had to fly under it because it just looked cooler. All of this could not have been accomplished without the power of my imagination.
Imagination has helped scientists, kids, adults to explore unknown worlds. It can bring our fictional characters to life while we are reading a good book and it can even help to discover something completely new. Sometimes we use it just to pass our time and other times we use it to change our world. Imagination is a means of thinking outside the box, creating unrealistic scenarios, a vision of something that is not present to our senses and might never exist in the real world. I truly believe in the power of imagination.
When I was younger I was always curious about my surroundings - why does the sun come from the east, why do we have to eat spinach every day, or better, what if I had the ability to fly with jet packs. Most of the time the answers I got didn't make much sense however, asking those silly questions did helped me expand my knowledge. It made me look for reasonable answers first and then allowed me to fill in the unanswered ones with my imagination. The sun comes out of the east because it likes taking morning showers and I eat spinach because I want to be strong like Popeye.
