1. When you enter your lobby to greet your candidate, you are concerned about their dress attire, cleanliness and overall professional groom. How do you proceed and why?
2. When you first meet your candidate, they have many piercings and tattoos. They have applied for an office position within your company that you know this could be frowned upon. How do you proceed and why?
3. During an interview, you have a candidate that takes their shoes off. In your opinion is this OK and please explain why? How would you handle this scenario?
4. Most interviewees are going to be nervous during their interview, however, from time-to-time, some are so nervous that it makes you the interviewer uncomfortable. If you find yourself in this position, how would you handle it and why?
I will ask the candidate what kind of drink you want, because probably drinks something will make candidate have much time to think about the questions what I ask and make candidate feel comfortable as well. On another hand, I will be joking during the interview. Because making some joke is an effective method to relax the tense atmosphere in the interview. In fact, make some joke will make candidate feel me more friendly and relax themselves in the same time.
5. During the interview, you are struggling to get the interviewee to talk much (provide you with descriptive answers). How do you handle this and why?
I will tell the candidate that you should concise expression what you want to express. Because as an interviewer I just want to the candidate concise expression of strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, interview has time limited for everyone; actually we don't have too much time to talk. On another hand, simple to express their own ideas is also a capability. We can also test the communication skills of the candidates.
6. The candidate you are interviewing is very arrogant and over confident. You can tell they are just filling you full of information that is either inaccurate or exaggerated. You are completely turned off from this candidate within the first 10 minutes of the interview. Do you proceed? If so, how? If not, how do you end the interview?
