There have been many noteworthy foreign and domestic issues facing the United States as country lately, and it is newly elected President Donald Trump and the incoming Congress that are going to be responsible for trying to fix these problems. A foreign problem that needs to be dealt with soon is the fact that Russia has become a large threat to many countries, including the U.S., with how powerful it has become. There could be a few things the newly elected government could do to help with this issue, and one of them would be that our government could assist countries close to Russia with protection and resources that could help them stay safe. Another solution to this problem is that the U.S. government could create an embargo against Russia and stop all trade which could keep Russia from getting resources they need to keep growing stronger. One last solution is that our new president, the head of our country, could speak to the head of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and find ways to compromise and reach common ground before Russia gets out of hand. Both of these men value power and respect, and I believe the potential exists for them to develop a relationship which benefits both countries.

One of the key responsibilities of our government is keeping its citizens safe. A current domestic issue which needs addressing is keeping Americans protected from terrorism on U.S. soil. One solution to this could be that Congress could invest in more intelligence that could assist in finding
