Starbucks emphasize on social responsibility in its overall corporate development as it brings out numerous benefits. Due to enhancing brand identity, Starbucks never hesitate to devote efforts for this. Even Starbucks is not taking much of the short term profit, they ensure the long term profit can bring out a huge sum. Better still, it can earn the reputation of a company. Starbucks is so consider social responsibility on the various side ranging from environment, employees, suppliers, customers and communities. It's can improve brand image effectively. Starbucks just has a main purpose which gets higher profit through using ideal brand image.

In the environment side, Starbucks created a Corporate Social Responsibility department, now known as the Global Responsibility Department. It can reduce the environmental problems like excessive logging and excess of carbon emission. It carries out some methods to ease those problems .Besides, purchasing renewable energy credits can reduce the footprint of their operations. Starbucks provide recycling in their stores and ensuring the recyclability of their cups. It's not only disease the cost of packaging, but also wins the "green image" to the public.

In the employee's side, Starbucks never overlook the health of their staff. They have a maturity health care program which providing a comfortable environment to their staff work for. Also, the chairman Howard Schultz stands for the human right of the staff. He said "We are not in the coffee business serving people, but in the people business serving coffee". Even Starbucks has faced double-digit increase in insurance costs for multiple years running. He still care about his staff since it can mold perfect image to the employee.
