Procrastination at its finest!

Procrastination is a very common construct in many students or just about anyone in general. Many people do not like procrastination or agree with it for certain reasons. In my opinion I’m all for it. Procrastination helps me stay focused, get my work done and allows me to have time on my hands to do other activities.

In todays society half of the people view procrastination as something very stressful to themselves. Some people get really stressed when they procrastinate while other may not. Therefore it is safe to say that not anyone everyone is meant to procrastinate. On the other hand the other half of society including myself, is all for procrastination, including myself. Procrastination may cause a little stress but it really has hardly any affect on people who do it all the time.

Procrastination helps me stay focused. In my previous educational experiences when I procrastinate it tends to help me stay on task and make me want to finish my work. I believe I believe this construct always helps me since in my mind I know everything will be due in a day or two so it gives me the initiative to want to finish in order to not fail in class. Procrastination may not be the brightest idea because sometimes it can cause a lot of work to pile up. But so far it has actually helped me out and I have succeeded so far so until failure I shall continue to procrastinate.

I believe being a procrastinator helps me think about assignments a little better. For example, my professor assigns an essay on Monday, so I look at the topic and then close my notebook. I wait until about a day or two before it is due and I begin to draft and type it out.
