While Rajasthan is most commonly known for its picturesque deserts and beautiful palaces, not too far from Udaipur lies the Sajjangarh Biological Park, preserving a natural and sustainable ecosystem for many endangered species.
Our Zoo for Education on Wildlife & Habitat Preservation program aims to provide opportunity of first- hand experience to work directly in the Biological Park with the likes of Park Veterinary Doctor, forest rangers and other staff, in an endeavor to contribute towards improvement in wildlife data collection and research, promotion of environmental and animal-friendly practices for the local villagers and tourists as well as basic care of wild and rescued animals. There are a wide variety of opportunities offered in the program that may include feeding and bathing of the animals, cleaning of enclosure and surrounding, medical treatment of concerned animals, recording seasonal changes in behavioral patterns of animals, functions with flora and fauna in the park like weeding and tapering, analysis of visitor behavior, trend studies in terms of demographics, safety and vulnerability checks, risk analysis, redesigning of enclosures, maintenance of visual history of animals with the help of camera and study of biodiversity in general, to name a few.
