OIL SPILL CONTIGENCY PLAN (OSCP) REVIEW
I wish to formerly remind you and the entire management of the need to make the above mentioned document available in our facility.
I recall that sometime last year some consultants were invited one from Onitsha and two from Lagos, prior to the visit of NOSDRA. They took samples and got some information to prepare or review the OSCP for our depot, but there has been no information from them since then.
This reminder has become very necessary because NEPZA has sent us series of letters to this effect, with the last one dated 31th July 2018, giving us time limit when inspections will commence. Furthermore, the said document is a basic requirement of NOSDRA, DPR, EPZ and other agencies during inspections.
The aim of this memo is to see that this document is put in place as soon as possible before the visit of relevant agencies to our facility. Consequently, I strongly advice that in a situation where the arrangement from our consultants is not working, then we need to key in to the one being jointly organized by the zone authority which so many depots in the zone are part of.
