1.1 Background of the company
Mercedes-Benz is one of the main automobile manufacture in the world. Carl Benz has founded it in the 1886 with the launch of his “Benz Patent Motorwagen”, considered the first automobile. Accompanied by Daimler, that in the same period as Benz created a petrol engine model. Emil Jellinek bought the first car, known as a “Daimler” car, in the 1897. He has an influential role in the company’s history, because, after a clause, the brand took the name of his daughter, Mercedes. Mercedes vehicles steered in a new era since the 1901, year in which had been marked the first “Mercedes”. Adolf Hitler, who drove these cars in the 1930s, has given another impact for the fame of the company. Since the 1886, it is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany and currently it is considered one of the best automakers in the world. (“Mercedes-Benz UK” website) [1]

The basis of the Mercedes-Benz business relates to the five values of the company. They are Passion, Respect, Integrity, Discipline and Excellence.
