I wrote my lyric analysis on the song 1(800)273-8255 by Logic featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid. This song message is suicide is never the answer; the title of this song is the actual number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline which stands out, majority of YouTube watchers comment and ask “What number is…” or “Have anyone called the number yet?” most people like myself knew nothing about the prevention hotline number but due to myself liking this song so much, I know the number by heart now. I think it’s truly important to know this number in life, you never know what people are going through and just like in the video, the young boy opened a paper a friend gave him with the prevention line number inside it and that one little thing changed his life forever!

 The picture in the right hand corner is when Logic performed the song on the VMAs in September 2017. The people surrounded by Logic are fans, NSPL workers and people who have overcame them suicidal thoughts. The performance was very touching and in the end Logic listed multiple reasons on why people become suicidal and how no one wants to talk about suicide these days. When this song was released NSPL had to hire so many more people just to take all the calls they were receiving. Logic saved lives addressing a major problem in this world.
