INSTITUT INTEGRITI MALAYSIA
The established of Institut Integritit Malaysia (INTERGRITI) is to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the implementation of The National Plan (NIP). NIP was launched on 23 April 2004 and the aim of launching this plan is to achieve the 4th challenge in Vision 2020, “the challenge of establishing a fully moral and ethical society, whose are strong in religious and spiritual values and imbued with the highest of ethical standards”. Various programs and activities have been conducted across the district and states, at national and international levels to help promote and crate awareness towards achieving the country’s vision which is to become a nation of high integrity.
There are four key outputs that we should know about INTEGRITI which are:
1. An institution that coordinates monitors and evaluates the implementation of the National Integrity Plan (NIP).
2. An institution that mobilizes all levels and sectors of society in a focused manner towards achieving the Five Integrity Targets.
3. An institution that is the premier think-tank on matters pertaining to the enhancement of the nation’s integrity.
4. An institution that is the focal point of reference on integrity that is also strategically networked and internationally linked.
MISSION: To facilitate the development of Malaysia as a nation of high integrity, which are resilient and embraces universal good values.
VISION: To coordinate, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the National Integrity Plan.
THE TURTLE MODEL IN THE NATIONAL INTEGRITI PLAN
This turtle model consists of eight institutions:

Integrity in ISLAM:
In Islam perspective, integrity places principally as code of conduct which leads towards the establishment of human ethics. There are three fundamental principles which are tawhid (theism), khilafah (vicegerency), and adalah (justice). Once a Muslim implements these three fundamental values, we could believe he becomes an individual who is really abided by the Islamic teachings. We can then recognize him as an insan muttaquan (pious individual). These three fundamental values of Islam can also know as Islamic worldview, Islamic worldview is a crucial element in helping building integrity and encourage the attainment of higher level of integrity in every single human life. Building integrity is basically a process promoting human ethical foundation in life. Spiritually a man who has such level of integrity would find himself, consciously or unconsciously, has practiced an Islamic worldview.
Integrity in Islam
Integrity defined as: “The knowledge, awareness, enliving and tight grasp to pure values, consistently, together with a full commitment to those values in every spoken word and action to achieve self and organisation excellence.” (Jamiah Manap etal., 2005) 74 Baharom Mohamad, Halimatus Saadiah Mat Saad & Sharifah Hayaati Syed Ismail This definition is used due to its conformity with local elements. In accordance to that, individuals are said to have a high integrity when their actions are aligned with the pure values they hold (Jamiah Manap etal., 2005). As in the context of this study, institutions and individuals are considered having high integrity were characteristics in line with Islamic values.
