Countries with lower GDP per capita demand for mobile phones are low because people couldn't spend their disposable income on mobile phones. When GDP starts to increase in poor or developing countries, the demand for mobile phones start to increase.

High inflation rates effect the purchasing power of a consumer in a negative way. Deregulation and liberalization of the telecommunication markets caused operators and manufacturers to act independently from the government interference.

With the increase in globalization, governments want the big operator companies headquarters in their countries. So competition from abroad increases and driving producers to sell cost efficient and high quality products at the same time.

When entering into an existing market with a new product, first time users play a great role because if they like the product, up-coming users might follow them due to consumerism trend.
