Grab, like its name, users can book drivers through an app on their smartphones and in just a few minutes driver who is closest to them will “grab” them to the location which they chose. Grab was established in 2012 by Anthony Tan and Tan Hooi Ling. But Grab has just been really common in Vietnam since 2017 when Uber, the competitor of it, got off ASEAN. This essay will show some features of this app, which make it commonly used and popular with Vietnamese people at present.
There are some main points that make Grab different with traditional taxi. Firstly, booking’s feature of Grab is quite effortless. Passengers can save the places, locations that they regularly come to as favorites, such as school, home or even workplace, so they can choose the pick- up location and journey’s end easily for the next time. Secondly, there are 2 forms of payment: cash or credit card. It is really embarrassing and confused when you take a taxi but forget to bring your wallet. To avoid this situation, you just need to enter your credit card details into Grab apps one time. And then you can pay by credit cards for your all later trips. Finally, Grab is a trusted companion when you are in emergency and need a drive as quickly as possible. When you are in a rush, you tend to be concerned about the nearest driver, not about the vehicle type. Grab has “Flash” button, this feature helps users find both GrabTaxi and GrabCar in the same times. If you want to be quickly, you should try this feature.
