The functions of the manager's role in my industry that I would like to talk about would be for the role of a Project Program Manager in the IT industry. The background of the role is to responsible for driving those critically important programs which will deliver step-function change in the performance and processes within and across the global operations teams.
The principle function of the manager is to plan, organize, lead, controlling and share. First are planning and the manager needed to lead cross-functional program teams to develop program approach, plans, timeline and budget. Next is organizing, the manager are required to lead the program identification, sizing and prioritization process to ensure programs are correctly scoped and with clear and measurable business benefits. One also needs to identify new and innovative solutions to radically improve the current processes and experience and justify and coordinate suitable resources and skills from across the business to participate in Program teams.
Next is leading, the manager need to lead programs teams to achievement of program timelines and goals and also create and manage measurement systems to track adoption and effectiveness of individual changes. Then is controlling, the manager need
