1.In organisation we can recognise its goals, objectives and policies. These are created to achieve planned and expected results. Organisational goal is a long-term plan which is usually set up for up to 5 years to complete. Goals are like a draft, it means they are not specific, more like an idea.   Objectives are all the actions following to complete goal. Objectives are short term, up to 1 year. To let management focus on desired areas, objectives are detailed and planned. Objectives are specific, measured, achievable, realistic and timetabled (SMART).  Policies are values, strategies, and guidelines which help organization to complete their goals (Mullins, Christy 2013).

Fraser Foods (FF) as a company wants to expand their business in the next 5 years. They aim open for new customers. Staff was involved to create new recipes and 4 was approved. The company created new position, managing director, with first objective to create website to attract new customers. Another objective is to increase productivity and reduce costs at the same time. FF’s products are in recyclable packaging, which makes a positive impression on public. Safety measures implemented in company, like hygiene and health and safety policies, ensuring employers and employer are secured.

We can distinguish for main types of goals. First are customer goals, where company aim is to satisfy customer needs. Second, product goals, this is the final product, its quality, range, design and availability. Next are, organizational, which involve operational changes, restructuration and upgrades toward expansion. At the end we have secondary goals. Those are not company’s main course, but can improve reputation, for example the way company treats employees or stake holders.

Fraser foods plans to expand their business in next 5 years (organizational goal). The would like to stop being dependable from one main customer and widen their customer base. To achieve this, the company increased management positions. The product varieties have been improved (product goal), by implementing more family range of products. Fraser Foods is highly consumer focused company, they want to provide their customers with high quality products (consumer goal). They are also aware about their carbon footprint and pollution caused by tracks delivering goods. Secondary goal is to reduce black plastic and find more effective way of transportation and maximise recycling techniques

With Expansion plans, Fraser foods management focus on designated work areas, because objectives are more specific than goals. 4 new range of products has been approved. Staff is also involved in creation of new products. Newly appointed managing director is accountable for website, customer base and rising brand awareness. Another objective is to increase productivity and reduce unit cos, this could be achieved by making the process less labour intensive. Policies, like Hygiene and safety, and health and safety in work place, covers employers and employees.
