Ethical code of conduct
McDonald's is committed to conducting business ethically and in compliance with the letter and the law. This commitment can be vividly seen in McDonald's Values. Each value is inherited with commitment to be ethical, truthful and dependable and this is vividly reflected through their Standards of Business Conduct which serves as a guide to making good decisions and conducting business ethically. Managers are committed to act in a best interest of the company , honestly, fairly, ethically and with integrity and conduct themselves in a professional, considerate and respectful manner.

Ethical perception is a thing which varies from person to person. Inspite of being the biggest food venture in the world mcdonald’s has been indulge in many of the controversies regarding ethical conduct. Although McDonald’s makes the effort to support children with life threatening illnesses but the diet offered by this corporation contributes to obesity, heart disease, asthma, and possibly mad cow disease. Through this we can say that these big corporations do exactly the opposite from which they claim to do in order to maximise their profits.
Environmentally, McDonald’s practices are also questionabl. Instead of using fresh beef patty at a local butcher shop they used patty which involves different cattle raised in atleast five countries. This raises the possibility of a particular patty containing contaminants of unknown origin. As stated previously, instead of using naturally grown potatoes they used their own genetical modified potatoes. The practices of using food from different location is problematic environmentally. From a perspective of public health the use of beef from multiple sources is also harmful and contaminated sources far more difficult to trace.
