Studies show from the World Health Organization that violence in the United States is very high. This report goes into deep detail about what is known about the epidemiology and way on preventing violence. This report speaks on all types of violence such as sexual violence, elder abuse, neglect by caregivers, and self-inflicted violence. Also in this report it speaks on terrorism, and how different types of violence occur. After 3 years of research the World Health Organization drew on the Knowledge that was researched by 160 experts from more than 70 countries (abc news). Studies show that the U.S has more guns deaths than any other country in the world. There was a study conducted by 2 new York cardiologist that found that the United States has 88 guns per 100 people while Japan shows .6 guns per other people, with only .6 gun related deaths per 100, 000 people, this makes the country with the lowest gun crimes and deaths.

In the same study Canada has 30.8 guns per 100 people and with 2.44 gun related deaths. The United Kingdom has only 6.2 guns per 100 people with only 0.25 deaths. While I was looking at these studies I feel that the United States has more gun crimes because of how many people in a house hold that owns guns. Also the United States has a higher rate of people who own guns without a permit. So the more guns a country has the more crime is likely to occur. Other countries such as Canada and the UK have lower crime rates because less people own guns. The difficulty's that I have come across while comparing crime rates is how accurate are the numbers? Now rape in the United States reported annually is estimated at 89,000. 16 percent is woman, 3 percent is men (rape statistics, 2013).
