Auditory and Visual Learners

I feel that I'm an auditory and visual learner. An auditory learner is someone who learns best by hearing things.  Studies have shown that only 30% of the general school-age population is auditory.  Generally, the auditory learner will remember 75% of what they hear in a lecture.  Using the auditory modality is the most difficult way to learn new material.   They not only have to write to to remember but by listening benefits them most.  They prefer talking about situations and expressing emotions verbally.  For example a auditory learner remembers what they hear and say, enjoys classroom and small-group discussion and can remember oral instructions well..           A visual learner is someone who learns best by seeing.  They make up about 65% of the population and  prefer more to watch demonstrations to have the ability to visually imagine the information provided. For example, a visual learners usually prefer graphics, illustrations and charts. They tend to be more organized and  work well alone and in quiet settings and when taking notes they like to add a lot of detail.

I replay the lectures that I have recorded on the way to class the day of the test or quiz and once I'm in the class I go over the notes that I've written. This way for me I feel that I remember more because I'm processing the information heard and what I visualized.
